CHAPTER 9

“Oh, my god, this just keeps getting better and better,” Dylan panted as he rolled to his back, taking Trick with him.

Rubbing his hand over his mate’s still reddened ass, Trick hissed, “Dang, Dylan. How am I supposed to sit all day, and work tomorrow now?”

“Talk about leaving me behind again. Now when you sit, you’re going to remember you have a mate that loves you very much, and would be heartbroken if you weren’t in my life,” Dylan whispered.

Trick sighed, “I keep telling you, I was…”

“Scared and worried for everyone. I get that, baby, I do, but you have to remember you’re not alone anymore. I’m right here with you, and if you feel overwhelmed, scared, worried… anything, I want to know. Our mating is no different than a marriage, baby. Sickness and in health, good times and bad… it’s all there, and I want you with me sharing in it all,” Dylan softly said as he ran his hands up and down his mate’s body.

The loud knock on the door had Trick gasping and rushing to pull up the covers.

Dylan laughed, “Babe, they’re not going to just walk in on us.”

“I never know what Blake might do,” Trick muttered as he tucked the blanket around himself.

“Hope you’re done, because Ezra will be here in fifteen minutes,” Blake called out, then freaked Trick out when the door opened.

Dylan snapped, “Don’t you dare come in here, Blake. I will more than kick your caribou ass!”

Blake laughed, “I have no intention of coming in there. I don’t want to see your sparkling white ass.”

“Go away, Blake. We’ll be down before Ezra gets here,” Dylan said as he went to the door to close it.

“Dude, quit flapping the worm, man. That shit’s just wrong.” Blake complained.

Dylan slammed the door in Blake’s face. “Then, don’t open the fucking door, jackass.”

Turning to his mate, Dylan said, “Ready to take a shower?”

Trick was already making his way into the bathroom with the blanket wrapped tightly around him. “Not with you. If we get in there together, we’ll never be out in time, and gods knows who Kevlar will send in here then.”

Dylan knew his mate was right, but he couldn’t go without teasing the man. “But, baby, shower sex is the best.”

Trick was already under the running water as he laughed, and shouted out, “I thought you said that all our sex was the best?”

“Well, it is, but this time would have been the best of the best,” Dylan teased, loving how his mate was really seeming to come into himself. He was still a bit timid around most people, but when it came to him, Trick was more relaxed and from what he could feel… happy.

The shower cut off, and it wasn’t long before Trick was walking out naked and dripping water.

“Oh, fuck, you’re just wrong,” Dylan muttered.

Trick smiled, then gave Dylan a quick kiss. “Just giving you something to look forward to later.”

Dylan smacked Trick’s ass as he ran into the bathroom, quickly closing the door behind him.
